MCV Pacific has, this morning, been able to confirm that 18point2 will be rebranded to become Koch Media Australia and that 18point2’s relationship with all existing partners will be continuing. In addition to retaining all current staff, Koch Media Australia will be looking to fill a number of new roles in the near future as they scale up their Australian operation
Announced overnight, THQ Nordic’s wholly owned subsidiary, Koch Media, has entered into an agreement to acquire, Australian distributor 18Point2.
18Point2, who currently handles the Australian and New Zealand distribution Warner Bros., Techland, Milestone and Soedesco, was formed in 2016 following the closure of Warner Bros. Australian Interactive business.
The acquisition will see THQ Nordic look to establish a strong platform in the Australian market.

Koch Media was formerly represented by AIE before moving to QV Software (Turn Left Distribution) in 2014. Most recently Five Star Games was engaged to handle the distribution of 4A Games’ Metro Exodus for the ANZ region by Koch Media, with the title set to launch tomorrow.
