Igniting his way onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Spyro the dragon and his band of zany dragons and goofball character will glide onto consoles this September.
The new trilogy features each of the original three games, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Each has been brought up to modern day standards in graphical fidelity, improved environments, updated controls, brand-new lighting and recreated cinematics for added flavour. The original trilogies soundtracks have also been re-imagined, bringing Stewart Copelan’s in line with the graphical overhaul.
“We’re deeply passionate about staying true to the legacy of the original three Spyro games with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy,” said Paul Yan, Chief Creative Officer, at Toys for Bob
In homage to the original trilogy, Tom Kenny has returned to voice Spyro for the new game, Kenny was the original voice actor for the character in the latter two games of the original series.
The trailer for the game is set to release April 9th, available to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy owners by entering to iconic code (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → square) into Crash Bandicoot™ 3: Warped title screen.
Paul Yan continued “We’ve poured a lot of love into making the personalities and worlds feel just like fans remember them, while also keeping the game collection surprisingly fresh with lush, high definition detail. We’re bringing back the Spyro we all fell in love with 20 years ago.”
