Winners of the 2018 NSW Creative Achievement Awards have been announced, awarding the talented individuals from our community that demonstrate excellence in both their work, and their creative spirit.
Ally McLean winning the Young Creative Talent Award, the award recognizing outstanding industry sector achievement for individuals under 25 years of age, who has demonstrated leadership in originality and/or innovation and contributed to raising the profile of NSW Creative Industries.
Ally plays a huge role in our industry as the director of the women-in-games mentorship program The Working Lunch, working alongside the IGEA (Interactive Games and Entertainment Association) to create the event that pairs entry-level women with experienced industry professionals.
Upon accepting the award, Ally thanked the IGEA for helping to make The Working Lunch possible, and encouraged the room full of creatives from various industries, to speak to, invest in, and learn about games; as she called them “the future of storytelling”.
Congratulations to Ally on such a massive achievement, you can find the full list of award winners on the NSW government website.
