Two of the most interesting marketplaces for games right now have got to be those for Android and iOS smartphones.
Android overtook Apple for number of devices in Australia late last year, just as it did in most other territories in the world.
The number of downloads, however, simply isn’t translating to the dollar value size of the Android market, with iOS still dragging in 2.3 times the revenue, according to the report first found by The Guardian.
The markets remain fundamentally different, with premium content having much stronger a home on Apple than on Android.
