Trade Media and Xbox ANZ are thrilled to announce that 19-year Microsoft veteran, Angela Hession will be the first ever keynote speaker at the 2018 Women In Games Lunch on Friday, August 10.
Angela has been pivotal in establishing new global products and businesses at Microsoft. She lead operational, product and marketing teams to launch over 100 games on Xbox 360 and Kinect and was the co-creator of ID@Xbox. In her most recent role one of Angela’s major focus areas to drive new capabilities to create a safer and more inclusive gaming environment for everyone who wants to play on Xbox.
She has launched multiple women leadership groups and is the co-leader for Women in Gaming and Technology. Angela is a champion for the Xbox University Recruiting program and is a Catalyst mentor across Microsoft’s interns and new in career employees.
In her free time Angela sits on the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation supply chain technology innovation advisory board to help women across Africa to obtain access to basic health care products. Angela is also an active volunteer in her community across education, homelessness and mental illness. In her free time she help teach Robotics, learn more about AI and Machine Learning, how to create a more inclusive culture and try to run a six minute mile .

The 2018 Women In Games Lunch, which is open to all genders will be held at L’Aqua, Darling Harbour on Friday, August 10. The event will run from 12:00 PM to 4:00PM and will again be a 3-course meal with beverages included. Thanks to the support of this year’s sponsors, Women and Non Binary industry members can attend the event at no cost. A small amount of tickets have been made available for men to attend.
