On Friday night, Activision gathered the best Call of Duty players in Australia and New Zealand to battle it out.
32 players in all converged on Sydney to compete, with the winners being flown off to Los Angeles in April to compete in the Call of Duty Championship.
“The successful launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops II last year showed the continued strength of the Call of Duty franchise locally,” said Activision Senior VP for Asia Pacific Philip Earl. “so it’s wonderful to be able to give back to the loyal community with the Call of Duty Championships.”
Two Australian teams Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports will attend the event, which will see 24 teams in total battle for the world title.
