Apple recently revealed it’s new gaming subscription service, Apple Arcade, is coming a range of Apple devices later in 2019, amongst the lineup of over 100 games included on day one sits some of Australia’s top studios’.
Despite a lack of information in regards to pricing, portfolio, or how developers will see a cut of the profits from the newly announced system, five Australian studio’s will be joining Apple Arcade later this year.

Apple Arcade will see the multinational tech giant join the fray of streaming services fighting for consumers attention. Apple’s unique position is afforded due to its history of platform exclusivity, where Apple products have lived alone in a controlled ecosystem of devices, where other platforms openness has often lead to a lack of control.
It will be interesting to follow Apple Arcade amongst a host of new and innovate game streaming like Googles newly announced Stadia, and Nvidea Now.
And don’t forget the increasing number of subscription offerers globally, including the likes of Microsoft with Xbox Game Pass, Sony’s PlayStation Now, and even Nintendo though it’s online service, are all launching in competitions, trying to draw the attention of new hardware purchasers.
