Among the top 8 countries that fought at BlizzCon last year, Australia is looking to showcases it’s impressive Overwatch skills on the world stage once again, with the final seven players now locked in for Team Australia.
Main tank, Ashley “Trill” Powell, is the only returning player for the new-look team handpicked by General Manager, Andrew “rqt” Haws and Coach, Jordan “Gunba” Graham.
Australian Main Support player for the Los Angeles Valiant, Scott “Custa” Kennedy, has been selected for both Team Australia for the upcoming Overwatch World Cup and the inaugural Overwatch League All-Star Game on 27 August. More info surrounding the All-Star series including ticketing, skill games, and fan experiences are yet to be announced.
The Australian Overwatch World Cup committee has selected the top seven players it will be taking to the Group Stage in Bangkok later this year;

- Leyton “Punk” Gilchrist, Flex Tank
- Huseyin “Hus” Sahin, Hitscan
- Felix “Ckm” Murray, Flex DPS
- James “Yuki” Stanton, Flex DPS
- Dario “Akraken” Falcao-Rassokha, Aim Support
- Scott “Custa” Kennedy, Main Support
facing off against China, Denmark, Thailand, Spain, and Sweden this September 14-16, the top two of which will advance to the Overwatch World Cup Top 8 at BlizzCon.
