The location for the BenQ ZOWIE EXTREMESLAND CS:GO ANZ Qualifiers has changed, and will now be held at the Melbourne Esports Open.
As previously reported, the qualifiers were to take place at Bankstown Sports Club in Sydney on August 25 – 26, but now teams will be flown to Melbourne for the event which will be held at Melbourne Park on September 1 – 2.
Danny Kim of BenQ ZOWIE Australia told Respawn Ninja, “We had already announced a great community event for Sydney but due to some divine intervention, have decided to take up this last minute opportunity at the MEO. This will see the event expand from a two (2) to four (4) team finals series spanning over two (2) days instead of one (1). It’s a shame we won’t get to work closely with a great venue in Bankstown Sports Club along with partners Dicker Data, JW Computers and Mwave, but I’m sure opportunities will arise in the near future.”
