Screwtape Studios’ debut title, Damsel officially left early access on Friday, launching via Steam with a special introductory discount of 25% off the regular price. Following this Damsel will be available for the regular price of $19.99 USD.
The game has launched with the first two episodes of Damsel’s adventure, including 50 action packed missions and a comic book story that sees Special Agent Damsel investigate the Red Mist Beverage Corporation. The word on the street is that Red Mist is creating a “secret menu” drink containing real human blood. Spoiler: They are!
Megan Summers, Producer and Quality Assurance Lead, Screwtape Studios said, “We’ve been creating Damsel for nearly four years, it has been wonderful to see the game evolve with new ideas and refining the game’s identity”.
Summers added, “Players have been enjoying Damsel during the Early Access process so we are super excited to finally be releasing it”
A Unite Melbourne and PAX Rising official selection finalist, Damsel is available to play on PC, with Linux and Mac support coming shortly afterwards. Damsel is expected to be available on console in the upcoming months.
Earlier in 2018 Damsel was a recipient of the inaugural Game Production and Marketing Investment grant by Screen Queensland, via a competitive application and review process.
