It’s been a long wait to find out who the new PR Manager at Blizzard would be, following the departure of Nick O’Shea almost two months ago.
Dan Chiappini of GameSpot fame is now taking the role on for ANZ, and starts on October 29th, immediately prior to the new team shipping out to BlizzCon in early November.
“Ding!”, exclaimed Chris Davey, Director, Publishing and Operations for Blizzard ANZ. “After an exhaustive search through hundreds of applicants we’re excited to have Dan join the Blizzard ANZ team. His extensive industry experience and deep understanding of the regional media landscape combined with a passion for Blizzard games makes Dan the ideal candidate to support Blizzard’s PR efforts in the region.”
“After almost seven years at GameSpot, this was an incredibly difficult decision to make,” added Chiappini. “I’ve loved being part of the global team, and GS is filled with amazingly talented people that I count myself lucky to have worked alongside.”
“I wish them all the very best in the future, and I’m looking forward to starting my next big challenge.”
Congratulations to Dan and all the best for his future ventures.
