Long time figure in Australian games journalism David Wildgoose will be joining MCV Pacific as the print and online Group Editor.
With an upcoming print edition of the web site in the works, Wildgoose will be coming on board at a critical moment of growth in the publication’s life time.
Joel Van Daal, Commercial Director of MCV Pacific, said: “I’m thrilled to have David join the team and step up into our first full time editorial position across MCV Pacific. David and I worked together on both PCPowerPlay and Hyper >> Magazines and formed an amazing professional and personal bond that I look forward to continuing with him.”
“David has arguably the greatest pedigree in Games Journalism, with over 20 years of Editorial and PR experience, he has seen it all, and for me becoming the Group Editor of MCV Pacific will be the jewel in the crown for his illustrious career.”
Wildgoose will take over editing duties on the site from Monday 14th October.
As for me, I’ll be continuing to write for MCV Pacific from time to time as a contributor, but am focusing my efforts primarily on my indie development studio, Flat Earth Games, which I started with my brother Rohan in 2012..
It’s been a fantastic two years spent on creating and growing MCV Pacific for the Australian and New Zealand industry, and I couldn’t be happier with how far the site has come since we launched in July 2011.
