IKEA is looking to create furniture tailored for the needs of the worlds 2 billion gamers, starting with its first ever gaming chair.
A part of IKEA’s Democratic Design Days event, a three-day event from 27th – 29th of August, giving Aussies a preview of never-before-seen IKEA collections and prototypes, including collaborations with Sonos, NASA and more, as well as the opportunity to hear from industry leaders across the fold.
IKEA Head of Design, Marcus Engman will be speaking on a panel with games industry experts Stephen ‘Bajo’ O’Donell one of Australia’s most beloved gaming influencers, and co-founder of Area Academy Tommy Ingemarsson.
The group will discuss how home furnishing can ‘change the game’, how the role of design plays to enhance gaming performance, and what we can expect from IKEA’s leap into gaming products. Be sure to catch the gaming talk in Sydney on Tuesday 28 August, 4 PM-5 PM at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
