E3 opens to 60,000 people

60,000 attendees from across in excess of 100 countries have pilled through the doors on the opening day for E3 2018.

The sold out show is showcasing 3,250 products and titles from more than 200 exhibitors.

For a secondyear, E3 has welcomed  15,000 gamers onsite to share in the E3 experience.

The $116 billion global video game industry and the world’s 2.6 billion gamers come together for E3 2018 today through Thursday, June 14. More than 200 exhibitors, including 85 companies that are exhibiting for the first time at E3, are showing new products and giving a behind-the-scenes look at the biggest games and announcements of the week at E3 Coliseum.

“Gamers are the heart of E3, whether they are on the show floor playing just-announced titles, watching from home, or participating in E3 Coliseum panels with their favorite industry creators,” said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of ESA.

“E3 is a celebration of the gamer and a showcase for the companies and entrepreneurs that work every day to surprise and delight the passionate fans who drive the innovation, creativity, and momentum of a global industry projected to surpass $138 billion in 2018.”
