E3 Wrap-Up: PlayStation Press Conference

Playstation’s press conference was much quieter than previous years, letting the games speak louder than ever.

Short but sweet, games like Kojima Studio’s Death Stranding and Suckerpunch Productions Ghost of Tsushima needed little introduction, as fans around the globe tuned in to see what the future holds for PlayStation owners, and Sony didn’t disappoint;

Packed to the brim with action, the latest Spide-Man trailer really set the stage for what fans have to look forward to in this franchise reboot;

Resident Evil 2 

Leon is back, but so are the infected, and they’re looking better than ever in stunning 4k. A short trailer has been released, and within it glimpses of gameplay, showing a third-person perspective, and some very terrifying infected attacking Leon;

The Last of Us: Part Two

A new gameplay trailer has revealed more of this highly anticipated sequel, original title The Last of Us was received by many as one of the greatest games of all time, so expectations are high for Sony’s latest addition to the much-beloved franchise.

Ghost of Tsushima

A gorgeous trailer for Ghost of Tsushima was revealed during the conference, demonstrating Sucker Punch Productions rendition of feudal Japan, and giving fans a short taste of the action to be found within.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4

Activision has revealed its plan’s for how DLC and new content will become available for Black Ops 4 players, moving to a season based pass. Pass owners can expcect the following on launch day;

  • “Classified,” a Bonus Zombies Experience, available at Launch
  • 4 Additional All-New Zombies Experiences
  • 12 Multiplayer Maps
  • 4 Exclusive Blackout Characters


Alongside Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the developers that brought you the Dark Souls & Bloodborne series are working on Virtual Reality game for PSVR, called Deracine. Not much has been revealed outside of a short teaser trailer, though it’s exciting to see From Software stretching their creative muscles on two new IP’s.

Nioh 2

Sequel to the cult hit Nioh, the critically acclaimed series developed by Team Ninja returns, with only a short announcement trailer released, it’s hard to say what may have changed since the first.

Death Stranding

Giving fan’s the most in-depth look yet, how Hideo Kojima and his team have still left us with more questions than answers is testament to the innovative storytelling we can expect from Death Stranding. The new trailer show’s in-game scenes offering fan’s a glimpse into the world, while introducing some of the characters you’ll meet along the way.

The latest game from development studio Remedy, Control is an ethereal game of stunning visual imagery and innovative gameplay, fans of Remedy’s previous title’s Alan Wake and Quantum Break can most likely expect a similar level of unique, and new gameplay from Control.

Kingdom Hearts 3

Fan’s will get the chance to own their very own custom PlayStation 4 Pro, adorned beautifully in the Kingdom Hearts key art, perhaps one of the most stunning PlayStation 4 Pro editions.

Kingdom Hearts III hits shelves January 29 on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One, a new trailer for the game was revealed alongside the console announcement, watch it here.

God of War

Recent mega-hit God of War is getting is set to receive its first new content addition, a New Game+ mode that will allow fan’s to replay the game from the start, while retaining all of their characters progress from the previous playthrough.

No information was released as to when, or what, form this update will launch in.
