Appropriately dubbed ‘Battle Charge’, the new season is the first to introduce map changes to the staple King’s Canyon level, as well as an all-new Hero, a new weapon, and Ranked game mode.
Following on from its record-breaking surprise launch, the new update brings a large amount of new, free content to players, as well as a new ranked league.
Players can compete in gated matches against similarly skilled opponents in the new ranked mode, earning rewards and recognition as they rank up. The ranks are split into six tiers; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Apex Predator.
The higher players rank during the season, the better the rewards they’ll receive. Rewards come in the form of exclusive cosmetic and character card customization options. You can learn more about the new ranked mode here.
The new season has seen a resurgence of Apex players return to the title after a lackluster initial first season launch.
You can purchase a season two battle pass in-game for 950 Apex Coins (AUD$12 = 1000 Apex Coins), of which grants owners access to the in-game battle pass system, providing players with even more exclusive (not obtainable after season two) reward opportunities for leveling up.
