Local distributer Five Star Games, French publisher Focus Home Interactive, and Swiss game developer GIANTS Software have announced they will donate AUD $50,000 to drought relief charity Drought Angels.
“Drought Angels is incredibly grateful to the teams behind the Farming Simulator franchise who are so generously supporting Australian farmers in their time of need. This donation allows us to provide much needed practical assistance to front-line farming families and the communities in which they live”, said Tash Johnston Co-Founder/Director of Drought Angels.
The trio are on track to bring Farming Simulator 19 to Australian gamers later this month, and spoke of the honour they feel to be able to offer their support to the suffering Australian agricultural industry;
“We here at Five Star Games, along with our international publishing partner Focus Home Interactive felt it was imperative to pull out all stops in order to deliver an initiative that gives back to Aussie Farmers,” said Darren Macbeth, Managing Director of Five Star Games. “We both have nothing but respect for the tireless and effective work that Drought Angels do to bring much needed emotional support and financial relief to the Aussie farmers in desperate need of it”.
“Sadly unlike in our game the effects of the drought are real.”, said Martin Rabl, PR & Marketing Manager of GIANTS Software. “Working with Drought Angels allows us to give something back to the Aussie farming community for which we have the deepest respect.”
