The industries premier peer-based awards show, the D.I.C.E. Awards, have announced the list of finalists for 2019. Which includes Florence by Australian studio, Mountains, and Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders, by New Zealand’s famous Weta Workshop, nominated in four award categories.
Made possible by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), this year’s D.I.C.E. awards will see co-hosts Greg Miller of Kinda Funny, and Jessica Chobot of Nerdist News return for the third year.
Australia and New Zealand developers should keep an eye on the following categories;
- Outstanding Achievement in Story – Florence
- Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game – Florence
- Portable Game of the Year – Florence
- Immersive Reality Technical Achievement – Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders
The winners of each category will be announced at the D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony on Wednesday, February 13th, at the 2019 D.I.C.E. Summit (#DICE19)
