Shooting, jumping, dancing and building their way to victory; 96 of Australia and New Zealand’s streamers and YouTuber’s came together last Friday in the third Epic Games Fotnite Friendlies.
The event saw 60 streamers live streaming the event, totaling 9000 peak concurrent viewers across all creators, resulting in almost 1.5 million hours of content viewed during the two-hour event.
The ANZ Fortnite Friendlies trended on Twitter in Australia, placing third in most discussed topics alongside NRL and AFL matches broadcast Friday evening.
Featuring the new game mode; “Final Fight” teams of 12 for the first time ever, five matches were played with each squad lead by twitch streamers.
Standout squad leader Loserfruit took home two of the five wins, competing against fellow content creators Deligracy, AngelMelly, Astrokitty, and DarkViper.
A date for the fourth ANZ Fortnite Friendlies is yet to be confirmed but will be announced on Twitter from @DoubleJumpComms.
