Reaching over 37 Tbps (terabit-per-second) peak across all platforms, the network traffic records were broken by non-other than global mega-hit Fortnite.
The figures were reported by Akamai the world’s largest and most trusted cloud delivery platform revealed the figure, shedding light on the sheer volume of active community members that still launch Fortnite every day.
Akamai gave a small comparison to help put the sheer scale of the 37Tbps into perspective, stating;
“this level of traffic would be like downloading the average mobile game 2.8 million times per minute.”
