Microsoft announces new Xbox One bundles, and delves into the swathe of games launching onto the Xbox platform this year.
The news came via the latest episode of Inside Xbox, broadcast live from the Gamescom show floor; giving fans a taste of what the future of Xbox holds. Be it the evolving world of Halo, or the beautiful forest of Ori and the Will of the Wisps , Xbox never looked so good.
So let’s dig right into the announcements!
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
The highly anticipated sequel to cult hi Ori and the Blind forest, a new trailer delved into the new Spirit Trials, fast paced, highly repayable race sequences that are spread throughout the game for players to compete through.
The new release is playable on the show floor, allowing fans to explore Ori’s immersive world, dynamic combat mechanics, gripping enemy encounters and challenging puzzles for themselves.
Xbox Game Pass
As well as updates to what existing game pass members can look forward to, Microsoft has launched a beta Xbox Game Pass app, which is now available on iOS and Android. Alongside the new app, came news of the latest game coming to Game Pass on September 1, Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
The hit title brought a wave of change to the industry, and now is growing out of its early access stage, graduating from Xbox Game Preview, and launching it’s full release on September 4.
In celebration of the release, Microsoft is launching a limited edition black digital camo PlayerUnknown’s Battleground Xbox Controller. The new controller launches October 30, read more here.
Forza Horizon 4 is close to the finish line, and Xbox have delved into the new Team Adventure mode, a competitive multiplayer mode that allows players to team up and take on the world in races, games and frantic Freeroam Rushes.
Battlefield becomes the first franchise to bundle with the Xbox One X, Microsoft announcing the release of the Xbox One X Gold Rush Special Edition Battlefield V Bundle. The bundle features a custom themed exterior, and comes with a 1TB storage capacity. The new console is set to launch October 17, read more here.
