Esports start-up GGWP Academy has been selected to travel to Berlin and participate in the leAD Sports Accelerator program.
The highly-selective program includes 10 start-ups with a focus on sport, from around the world to participate in 12 weeks of training to improve their business, leadership and pitching skills. Founder of GGWP, Jacqueline Garrett will travel to Berlin in September for the program and pitch to potential investors in September. She’ll also receive €25,000 (AUD$39,170) from the program.
“The lead program offers us (GGWP) an opportunity to gain further knowledge, a wider professional network and the ability to raise seed capital ahead of launching later this year, which will mean a better initial offering for our customers and community. We are very excited to travel to Berlin and begin the program in early September”, says Jacqueline.
GGWP is set to officially launch in December 2018 from their base in the ‘Esports High Performance Centre’ at the Sydney Cricket Grounds.
