The QUT Outstanding Alumi Awards aims to QUT alumni who have made an impact on their community. There are several categories in which alumni can be recognised and Sarah Morgan, Lisy Kane, and Tammy Butow were recognised for their work with Girl Geek Academy.
Girl Geek Academy aims to improve representation of women in STEM fields and increase women with successful STEM careers. Girl Geek Academy runs programs aimed at school-aged girls to encourage their interest in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and programs aimed at women like #SheMakesGames and hackathon #SheHacks.
Congratulations to Sarah, Lisy and Tammy on their achievement!
