Indie publisher Good Sheperd Entertainment has acquired a majority stake in the newly formed Warsaw-based development studio, Artificer.
Founded by the core team responsible for games renowned titles, Hard West and Phantom Doctrine, Artificer is a 30 strong team with members from the teams behind the Call of Juarez and the Dead Island series.
“We envisioned Artificer as a place where accomplished craftsmen may put their love of their work in projects they wholeheartedly believe in and do so in a sustainable fashion. I am tremendously excited to say that we have already built a close-knit team which is hard at work on our first project.” states Kacper Szymczak, Creative Director Artificer
Continuing to facilitate and support talented developers, Good Sheperd continues its growth as an established publisher, having already released multiple award-winning titles across all major digital platforms.
“We’ve been impressed by the quality and unique talent present in Poland and we intend to expand Good Shepherd Entertainment’s long-standing presence in the region with our newly formed Artificer relationship.” said Brian Grigsby, CEO of Good Shepherd Entertainment
Artificer is currently working on an unannounced title, with Good Shepherd set to reveal details on its latest title this May.
Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed publicly.
