Australia’s longest running video games magazine will change format for 2015, with a new focus on digital.
In an announcement yesterday, nextmedia revealed that Hyper will be moving to four themed special issues each year with regular content to be released online.
Hyper which was first published in December 1993, had been produced up to 13 times per year up until recently, with 12 monthly issues and a special.
Hyper has acted as a breeding ground for some of Australia’s best known games journalists.
The first new format title will be “The Games of 2015 and Beyond”, which is set to be published in early 2015.
nextmedia also revealed that their will be an increase in their online realm, with regular Hyper content to be posted on line.
The Hyper website will feature “regular gaming news, reviews, previews as well as competitions and more, with Hyper’s unique take on all the exciting happenings within the gaming world.”
