There is over AUD$200 million being spent by social gamers on home consoles in the next six months.
According to research conducted by Spiral Media, there is very good reason to continue to think of social gamers as being not only casual Facebook gamers but hardcore players as well.
In the latest infographic released by the company, which links brands with social entertainment destinations, points to some interesting statistics which are worth paying attention to for any company looking at the shift in demographics and wondering where all the ‘gamers’ are going.
64% of ‘social gamers’ who play games on Facebook also play games on home consoles, and 89% of those people say they play at least once per week, with a significant portion looking to purchase a new game in the next six months.
