The Freeplay Festival in Melbourne is just around the corner, and it’ll be attended by indie heavyweights Erin Robinson and Steve Swink.
Robinson is the creator of Puzzle Bots and is currently working on Gravity Ghost. She began moved into games from experimental psychology, was a speaker at GDC and has been named one of the most influential women in technology.
Swink began in Triple A development before going indie, currently working on the puzzle game Scale. He teaches game and level design at the Art Institute of Phoenix, and is the author of Game Feel: A Game Designer’s Guide To Virtual Sensation.
Freeplay also announced that its awards night will be open to the public for the first time, and will be hosted by Melbourne comedian Dave Callan.
The event will take place over several days, with several nights of events leading up to the weekend conference over the 28th-29th September.
