Jane Cocks steps down from CheckPoint

The CheckPoint co-founder has bid farewell to the organisation as Dr Shelley Xia and Pritika Sachdev join the team.

In a blog post, Cocks confirmed her recent departure from CheckPoint, stating, “It was with a heavy yet hopeful heart that I recently made the decision to part ways with CheckPoint. It has been an amazing year and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of it right from the very beginning. I’m so excited for its future with Jennifer’s amazing leadership.”

Cocks made difficult decision to allow someone with more time and energy to step in and carry CheckPoint forward as she continues to dedicate time to her family, work and study.

Jane was recognized for her work within mental health and CheckPoint in our 2016 and 2017 Women In Games lists, and was a finalist in the Campaigner category in this year’s Women In Games Awards presented by Xbox.

MCV Pacific would personally like to thank Jane for all her work with CheckPoint. Your innovative and vital work has helped raised the profile of the industry and made games a better place to be. We wish you all the very best of luck in your future endevours.

Following the successful funding of their for The CheckPoint Series Kick Starter, CheckPoint have welcomed Dr Shelley Xia on the board and Pritika Sachdev as their community and social media manager.
