Hanabee has announced its recent hire of Maddison Maree, who will join the company in the newly created role of Social Media & Marketing Manager.
The new role reflects Hanabee’s continuing expansion into new partnerships. They recently announced a licensing agreement with Tokyo-based Kojima Productions with other major affiliations set to be announced in the coming weeks.
In announcing the move, Hanabee CEO Eric Cherry said “Maddie’s experience and enthusiasm are exactly what we were looking for as Hanabee grows further into the gaming industry. Thrilled to have her on board.”
Maddison most recently handled Social media duties for Riot Games, working on the Oceanic Pro League (OPL) for League of Legends. Prior to this she held highly regarded Social Media positions at marketing agencies and was Social Media Coordinator at ESL, where she featured on ESL Gaming as a contributing editor for the Guild Wars 2 Pro League Season 1. She also wrote weekly news for ESL Play.
Maddison said, “I feel very lucky to be working with such an enthusiastic and dedicated group of people across some genuinely exciting clients. The future is bright, and I’m looking forward to growing with Hanabee.”
Maddison’s appointment follows Cameron Rooney’s promotion to Business Director as announced last week.
