MC Esports to host CS:GO Sydney LAN Tournament

MC Esports to host CS:GO Sydney LAN Tournament

The grassroots esports organisation will host their first LAN competition at Sydney’s FBI Gaming this February.

With a total prize pool of $1500 up for grabs, any and all players are invited to come and show their skills in a night of friendly (but fierce) Counter-Strike competition.

MC Esports shared in a press release “a non-sponsored event, all associated costs of the event (Venue hire, Travel for staff, % of the prize pool) will be offset by MC Esports in an effort to give something back to the community.”

The organisation has always held an unwavering focus on using gaming to reach out to people, and raise funds for issues surrounding mental health, raising over $1000 for Beyond Blue.

In the spirit of giving, of the $600 grand prize up for grabs at the event, $100 will go to the winner’s charity of choice.

The full prize split:

  • 1st: $600 ($500 Takehome, $100 Charity)
  • 2nd: $150 ($150 Takehome)

“The overwhelming interest from the community has allowed MC Esports to expand the LAN from a one day, top-level event, to a two day, mixed division LAN, giving MC the opportunity to cater to a larger number and variety of applicants.”

Watch the night’s games live, streamed on the MC Esports twitch channels, (MC_TV & MC_TVb) and Shout Cast by the MC Esports stream team.
