Dead or Alive 5, the much anticipated fighting game from Team Ninja, has been snagged by Mindscape for ANZ distribution.
The latest entry into the series will be the first cross-platform launch the franchise has received, and will sport destructible, multi-tiered environments as well as Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter as playable characters.
Tonia Valesco, GM of Mindscape, told MCV: “We are really excited to have been appointed Tecmo Koei’s distributor for Dead or Alive 5 in Australia and New Zealand.”
“The game looks quite impressive and we are throwing all our marketing efforts into making it one of this years’ top fighting games.”
The deal with Mindscape is for just for the one Tecmo title. Tecmo titles have traditionally been spread across multiple distributors in ANZ.
The local Dead or Alive 5 special edition will be available exclusively through EB Games, will feature an artbook, CD soundtrack, in-game costumes and a poster.
Dead or Alive 5 will be available on PS3 and 360 on 28th September this year for AUD$89.95.
