Israel has been crowned the honor of receiving the worlds second ever official Nintendo retail store.
According to Nintendo Life, the store will open inside the Dizengoff Center, a shopping mall in Tel Aviv, Israel. The new store will become a local hub for Nintendo fans, hosting events and meet-ups throughout the year.
The Israeli regional website, nintendo.co.il/ ran a countdown to the store’s opening today, now listing a full events calendar for July and a host of information about what can be found in store.
The new store opens ahead of the previously announced Tokyo store opening later this year. The value of a hands-on retail environment allows the publisher a unique opportunity to engage directly with local fans, and form a closer link to their global consumer base.
Whether or not this new store indicates a broader strategy by Nintendo is unknown, all we know is that Nintendo will have three operational retail stores by the end of the year.
