Opaque took home Studio of the Year and shared Game of the Year with Defiant Development.
Opaque Space were the big winners at the 2017 Australian Game Developer Awards which were held in Melbourne as a a part of MIGW.
The developer took home top honours with Studio of the Year, and shared Game of the Year (Earlight: Arcade) with Defiant Development (Hand Of Fate 2).
Former EA Mobile VP General Manager, Tony Lay was presented with the Adam Lancman Lifetime Achievement Award, whilst Lisy Kane and Kim Allom were inducted as Industry Champions.
Hacknet: Labyrinths, Ticket to Earth, Miss Fisher and the Deadly Maze, Forts, Paradigm and Hollow Knight all claimed honours in the Game Awards.
Opaque Space founder, Emre Can said on Facebook, “It’s an honor to have had the team and support network and to be enabled by my friends to achieve what happened tonight. Mere months ago we set out to build a team, games and a mission to bring us all to space.”
