Australia’s first partnered community channel on Mixer, Pixel Party, is about to celebrate its first birthday with Mixers first ANZ community meet up.
The Pixel Party Anniversary Picnic will be held on August 4 at Bradfield Park, Milson’s Point in Sydney. It has been made possible thanks to the support of AK Racing, with a chair being given away at the event, along with Mixer and Xbox giveaways.
Pixel Party’s core team is comprised of Lewis Vaughan (@pikalew), Jessica Rice (@mercykitty_), Addison Grace (@the_addyg), Katherine “Kitty” Crea (@kittycanteven) and Tom Sneddon (@courierlord). The team’s mission is to create all-inclusive, welcoming and fun community for everyone to enjoy themselves and feel comfortable expressing their love of anything, be it games, art, music or whatever they are into. Just one year in, the team has held four picnic’s, four Party Movie screenings and two convention meet ups, a shot from RTX Sydney 2018 can be seen below.
Speaking to The Influence, Lewis Vaughan said, “This is a big deal for me, seeing something that was just an idea in my head (that I wasn’t sure would even work) come to life over the last year has been nothing short of amazing! This will be Pixel Party’s first event as the first partnered community channel on Mixer in ANZ, which is super exciting!”
“We’ve achieved so much as a team and we couldn’t have done it without the support from the amazing gaming community here in Australia.”
Katherine Crea added, “This is a big deal for the team, we’ve all worked so hard to make Pixel Party be an open circle for the pop culture and gaming community and this picnic is a celebration of that.”
