Gamespot is reporting that the Queensland government has referred the R18+ bill to a committee, and plans to await its response.
Said response is due on 7th February 2013, and until this time the state will not allow any R18+ games to be sold.
That said, if a game were submitted for classification in the first week of January and didn’t pay the extra fee to be express classified, it wouldn’t be able to make it on shelves by 7th February anyway – the alarming part is that the state is still yet to be convinces – although the Queensland government did note that this is standard procedure for all new bills.
