Rae Johnston has announced that she’s leaving her position as Editor of Gizmodo Australia to join Junkee as editor from September.
Rae has been working with Gizmodo since 2015 but was appointed as Gizmodo’s editor in November 2017 when she replaced Campbell Simpson. She previously worked as Commercial Editor on other Allure Media properties such as Gizmodo, Kotaku, Lifehacker and Business Insider.
She tells Mumbrella, “I’m a massive fan of Junkee’s humorous, intelligent reporting, and I’m thrilled to be joining this legendary team as editor.”
Rae was recently a finalist in our Women in Games Awards presented by Xbox as Journalist of the Year, and has been a regular on the Women in Games list for her outstanding work in journalism.
We wish her the best of luck.
