Screen Queensland is looking for Game Development and Marketing Investing applications as the first round of applications open up.
The initiative is part of Screen Queensland’s dedication to supporting Queensland-made games.
2018 recipients included Lamington Games who went on to produce and publish Super Drop Land, which has been downloaded more than 500,000 times on the Android Play Store and Apple Store and received global recognition.
“There were 11 funding recipients in 2018 which included Lamington Games’ David Kilford, a resident of sqhub, who is going from success to success with his game Super Drop Land. David has received global recognition featuring on Google Play and a number of features on the Apple App store across Japan, the USA, China and Australia and is a real success story from last year,” said Screen Queensland CEO Tracey Vieira. “Queensland is home to a lucrative and competitive games industry and our local games creators are scoring big points in the global marketplace”, she adds.
