Ubisoft RPG South Park: The Stick of Truth has had some content edited in order to qualify for an R18+ classification in Australia.
In a statement, the publisher said, “Ubisoft can confirm South Park: The Stick of Truth was initially refused classification by the Australian Classification Board. A slightly modified version of the game has now been approved and will release on March 6.”
Ubisoft did not say what content had been slightly modified.
Player Attack, the website that first reported the story, notes that on November 21 another Ubisoft title with the name “Codename” was classified R18+ with the same consumer advice as South Park.
The unmodified version of South Park: The Stick of Truth has been classified R16+ in New Zealand.
