Rae Johnston and Benjamin Law have been announced as the hosts of That Start Up Show for its second season.
That Start Up Show focuses on startup culture, and this season is all about the rapidly advancing future tech on our doorstep – robotics, AI and the rebuilding of internet architecture with blockchain.
It will be filmed live in front of a studio audience every week in Melbourne starting on July 12. You can check the official site for tickets.
Following the live show, you can catch it on Gizmodo Australia every Tuesday starting July 17. After the season is done and dusted, you can catch it on Virgin Australia in-flight entertainment. It’ll also show up on Amazon Prime Video.
Speaking to Develop Pacific, Rae Johnston said, “I’m so excited to be hosting That Start Up Show alongside Ben. From games to robotics, AI to space tourism – we are gong to see it all. I’m especially excited that the first episode is packed with incredible women – including Kara Swisher (aka the women who made Mark Zuckerberg take off his hoodie. She’s amazing) and the wonderful Sarah Moran from Girl Geek Academy. I love that people can come along to see the show live, then Gizmodo will have it first! It’ll be on Virgin’s in-flight entertainment, too. I’m looking forward to spending more time in Melbourne, as well, since I’ll be there every week to record the show. I hope The Arcade don’t mind if I become a semi-permanent fixture there!”
