Steve Wright from Stevivor.com is trying to get publishers and gamers to donate games for contribution to the Starlight Foundation.
It’s the second year Stevivor has run the charity drive, and last year it raised over AUD$2000 in games for children in need.
This year, the industry has outdone itself, with almost AUD$5000 raised so far and donations still coming in.
Steve Wright told MCV: “The games industry is a perfect fit for Starlight’s Christmas Mission and the year-round work, as most toy donations at Christmas only cater to children for ages 1-14; products donated by gaming industry publishers, developers and marketers are ideal for the 15-18 age range.”
Mindscape Asia Pacific and Activision have donated AUD$1250 and AUD$3000, so a big thanks to both companies and to Steve Wright for organising the drive.
