The Sydney Saints have signed Australia’s premiere female CS:GO team featuring Jessica ‘ARTeMis’ Majrouh, Connie ‘Konii’ Ko, Yukie ‘Raizy’ Su, Liqi ‘Peachy’ Lin and Calise ‘Riv’ Newton.
In their first outing as The Saints, the team won the ESL Women’s Open presented by Vodafone at the Intel Extreme Masters over the weekend.
They were top seeded following a 3-0 win in the qualifiers, the Sydney Saints were victorious taking out the Female division with a 2-0 win over Control Esports.
Speaking on the signing, Chris White, CEO of Merlin Collective said, “I am incredibly excited to be working with such a talented team. Knowing they have worked so hard to not only establish themselves as the premiere female CS:GO side, but to also gain massive amounts of respect across the industry. The Sydney Saints will be based out of the Esports High Performance Centre within the SCG precinct in Sydney. It shares facilities with the likes of the Sydney Swans, Sydney Roosters, New South Wales Cricket and Sydney FC. The centre is a state of the art, pioneer in Esports Sports science, offering the latest technology, analysis and performance direction for teams competing in esports.
