Team Australia qualify for Overwatch World Cup in thrilling match against China over the weekend

Team Australia qualifies for the second spot in the Overwatch World Cup after a thrilling match against Team China in the World Cup Qualifiers in Bangkok over the weekend.

After Team Sweden took out the win against Team Denmark, it put Team Australia in a fantastic position to take out second place – but it wasn’t without having to go up against Team China, who were already the top-seed for the competition.

The match ended up being forced to a tie-breaker after Team Australia conceded both Nepal and Kings Row but managed to claim two maps back, securing the second qualifying position for World Cup.

China and Australia will join South Korea, Finland, the USA, and Canada at BlizzCon in November for gold, while the final qualifying positions are decided at the Paris Group Stage this weekend.
