ANZ quality assurance firm The Machine QA has announced it has begun it’s shut down procedures. Managing director of The Machine QA, Jason Imms shared this message on his time building The Machine QA;
It’s with an extremely heavy heart that I announce The Machine is shutting down. We’ve had an incredible year-and-a-bit, but unfortunately we’ve received some external, unexpected, and unavoidable hits that we simply cannot recover from.
We’ll be working to complete existing contracts for a little while longer, but we won’t be taking on any new clients.
I would like to take a moment to thank the incredible slate of national and international clients we’ve had the privilege of working alongside. Thank you for giving us the chance to help you make your games the best they can be in time for release, and for seeing the value in building repeatable, reliable, and rigorous QA procedures and processes that will serve you as your studios grow.
Thank you for giving us the chance to work on some truly incredible games, and personally for giving me the chance to see how it feels to see my name in the credits of titles I truly care for. It’s an indescribable feeling, and one I hope to chase for a long time to come.
Thank you to all of the amazing mentors and advice-givers that have been there throughout the process. You know who you are, please know that I’m truly thankful for your generous hearts and invaluable knowledge that will continue to serve me into the next phase of my career.
And lastly, thank you to all of the people that recommended us and helped us to find new clients. Word of mouth is so incredibly powerful, and recommendations can be risky. I don’t take that lightly, and will remember your support.
With that, it’s time to hit the big red button.
Goodbye, from The Machine QA. @jasonimms
We wish Jason the best of luck in his future endeavours, and can’t wait to see what amazing work you’ll do next.
