Throwdown doubles-down on Rocket League OCE Championship; announcing $50,000 prize pool

Season 2 of the Rocket League OCE Championship (RLOC) kicks off  August 19, and event hosts Throwdown Esports has doubled down on this year’s championship with a newly announced prize pool of $50,000USD,

As well as earning their share of $50,000USD, winners will also qualify to compete at the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) finals, fighting over a record $1,000,000 prize pool.

“RLOC Season 1 was a huge success with over 150 teams taking part, with local teams Tainted Minds and Chiefs progressing to last season’s finals,” stated George Cordalis, Throwdown Esports Manager “I’m sure we will see even more players and teams signing up this season, to test their skills and try to claim the two qualification spots available, and a chance to win part of that huge $1 million prize.”

Each match of the championship will be broadcast live via ThrowdownTV’s Twitch channel, and Registrations are now open and entry is free over on the Throwdown Esports website.
