Streamers can now use multiple Extensions on Twitch.tv

Up to six Extensions can now be used at a time with new categories to make navigation and discovery easier

From today, all channels can activate up to three overlay Extensions on a video, plus an additional three Extensions below a video player, for a total of six Extensions that can be active on any channel at a given time.

Creators can activate multiple Extensions by visiting their channel dashboard’s ‘Extensions Manager’, where extensions for games, music, streamer tools, and others can be applied to your streams. There is also a ‘Partner Picks’ section, which showcases Extensions recommended by top creators.

“Ever since we launched Extensions and our community saw how much it enhances the viewer experience, the most requested update has been the ability to use several of them at once,” said Ryan Lubinski, Product Manager of Extensions at Twitch.

While most Extensions can be used with many others at a time, there will be a few exceptions based on the area needed to display the respective Extension.

“We heard them loud and clear, so now creators can combine multiple overlays and tools to bring more interactivity to their channels and videos. With so many Extensions to choose from, we also updated our discovery site to make it easier to find desired features, including recommendations from popular creators.”
