The Australian games community will have their say as voting opens for the first ever Australian Games Awards.
Over 5,500 nominations were fielded from the community over 10-days. Resulting in 282 individual nominees who will now compete across 30 awards categories, with multiple individuals and products featuring across various categories.
With every stage voted on by the Australian gaming community, finalists are encouraged to engage with their communities to encourage them to vote for them.
Social media assets for finalists are available, with community members able to promote that they voted following the completion of each category vote. You can customise your own vote for me button by downloading the Photoshop asset here.
Joel Van Daal, Director of the Australian Games Awards said, “We were utterly blown away with the response to the call for nominations and are excited to see the scale of the voting period.”
“We are just over three weeks away from the event, which is shaping up to be the biggest celebration of video game culture in Australian history, and we can’t wait to celebrate it with the community.”
Voting is now open through the Australian Games Awards website, running until 12:00am (AEDT), on Friday December 7, 2018.
A short list of finalists for each category will be announced on Monday, December 10, 2018, ahead of the awards show at Luna Park, Sydney, on December 19.
