Immerse yourself in World of Tanks when you fly on Belarusian airline Belvia’s new commercial airliner, kitted out with the game’s colours as well as an all custom interior, becoming the worlds first plane branded in its entirety by a video game.
The Embraer 195 airliner made it’s an inaugural flight on Wednesday when it touched down at Minsk national airport. The exterior fuselage sporting the Belarusian symbol and national animal, alongside custom World of Tanks colours. While providing a full cabin experience, transporting passengers into the iconic online game in its home country.
“When we unveiled the first plane draped in the World of Tanks colours, it became one of the unofficial symbols of Belarus. As we received a lot of positive feedback from passengers, this inspired us to continue,” Anatoliy Gusarov, General Director, Belavia.
Sporting a full Black fuselage, the airliner stands out as a symbol of Belarus. Adorning the side of the craft is the Belarussian national animal, the Bison, which silhouette of which can be seen within the colourful patterning along the side of the craft.
“We have tried to make the second plane even better, more interesting and unusual. Our main aim was to show the world that this famous game was born in Belarus,” added Anatoliy Gusarov.
11 days work by 18 painters has created a stunning banner for Belarus that celebrates their culture, pride, and one of the worlds favourite video game franchises. Seating 107 passengers, the new aircraft is already running trips, it’s predecessor of which flew 2,457 legs, and saw over 270,000 passengers.
