Over 200 fans and industry members were in attendance to celebrate the launch of Wargaming’s ANZ servers.
In addition to preparing for the actual World of Tanks server launch, last night marked the third community-focused event by the publisher in as many weeks. Previous events were hosted in Auckland and Melbourne.
Travis Plane, ANZ Country Manager at Wargaming told MCV Pacific, “Last Wednesday night was all about bringing our Wargaming players together, introducing them to the team, and making them feel apart of the Wargaming ANZ family”
The event lived up to expectations set by international events, with Sargent Major Mayhem, a fictional character the Wargaming ANZ marketing team developed to lead all of their local creative, guiding and APC as it ran over a car.
Additionally each player was presented with a personalised US Army M1 steel helmet, with their gamertag, there was live World of Tanks inspired graffiti art and a Russian vodka bar featuring an AC1 Sentinel ice sculpture. The AC1 Sentinel was tank Wargaming donated to the tank museum in Cairns in March last year.
