The launch of Watch Dogs has been a sales success, says publisher Ubisoft.
The game has shipped eight million units to retailers worldwide since its release in late May.
Ubisoft has in total racked up €360m in sales in its first financial quarter ending June 30 which is 374 per cent up year-on-year. Digital sales jumped 149 per cent to €84m with performers including Child of Light and Trials Fusion.
Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot said of the numbers: “Although the financial year has only just started, our confidence for fiscal-year 2014-15 has been reinforced by our first-quarter performance and the keen anticipation for our upcoming games.”
