The two new titles’ The Walker and 18 Floors are now available through the PlayStation Store.
Winking Entertainment operates out of Shanghai and is the largest art and animation outsourcing company in the Greater China region. The two new titles embody a lot of what they produce, combining their independent development team with their affinity with virtual reality to produce the two new games.
18 Floors is an atmospheric room-escape VR game, a play on the popular notion of 18 levels of hell in Chinese folklore. A number of Chinese cultural refences are in the game, and each room design has its own character and flavour.
From an elegantly decorated room from the Renaissance period, to an old-world railroad train speeding across the ocean, each setting is a key part of the mystery you are trying to solve.
A Chinese take on the tried and tested zombie fps genre, The Walker features long-range and close-range weapons receive elemental buffs as you also command the power of magical Chinese talismans.
Again, influenced by the Chinese cultural history, the design team behind The Walker combined oriental aesthetics with modern zombie lore, resulting in walking terracotta soldiers and other terrifying abominations.
In addition to the story stages, the game will also have modes such as a challenge mode or a rampage mode, for you to continue fighting after completing the story as well.
